KROS stands for Kentucky Researchers Of Supernatural. KROS is a new group of open-minded skeptics cofounded by myself, myself being Chris Dooley and Chris Meadows to start investigating so called haunted places with unexplained events with the hopeful event of collecting some good evidence, whether that be pictures, videos or audio, that shows something we can't explain scientifically. The evidence we collect will then be posted here, for everyone on the web to go over. We are also interested in helping individuals or families out, who think they are experiencing paranormal activities. Maybe our group could help someone out around Kentucky with mysterious happenings. just let us know. The 2 main objectives are collecting evidence and helping others, hopefully in the process we all can learn, educate and benefit from these objectives.

KROS used to be known as SHOK or Shadow Hunters Of Kentucky. We was known as this group from February 2008 until the end of May 2008. Nothing is different as we have become KROS instead of SHOK, other than the name of the group. The reason for the name change is that we found out that 2 other groups who sound the same as our group exist, those being SHOCK (Spirit Hunters Of Central Kentucky) and SHOK (Spirit Hunters Of Knoxville).

KROS will for the most part use more of a scientific method (if you want to call it that, since there is really not a total science to paranormal) than a physic method of investigation. Meaning we will use electrical tools rather than someone's physic feeling of a place or something that can be personally manipulated, to determine whether paranormal activity is occurring or not. The tools we will use is video and audio recorders, cameras, EMF meters and temperature meters. Personal experiences during an investigation will be counted and recorded, but hard cold evidence is more of the proof we are looking for to determine whether a place is haunted or not. We are not against using other methods of investigating. like say dowsing rods for instance (as I have heard of great results from these), we would just pair up the person who is using the dowsing rods with someone using the electrical scientific method, audio recorders, EMF meter, etc., so that way if the person using the dowsing rods gets any kind of activity, we can compare it to other person to see if both people are getting the same results.

KROS as of now, is a new small group with little experience in investigating the paranormal. Hopefully we will end up being an old big group of experienced investigators. We are also willing to learn from other groups, hopefully some of the more experienced, more knowledgeable groups around Kentucky won't care if some of us tag along sometimes on their investigations.
