July 25th, 2010 - Welcome to KROS.  I say that because it has come to my attention that people do read this website.  So I apologize for no new updates, the lack of posting evidence (we haven't recorded the Holy Grail of evidence, yet) and for being a stale website (you deserve so much more :-) .  Hopefully this will change, I did renew the website for 2 more years in May, so the site isn't going anywhere, I just hope I have the time to do it justice.  KROS doesn't have a lot going on the net because we all work together, so there is no need for team members to check this website, MyFace, Twiddle, FriendBook, ghost hunter match maker service or whatever (I might have made most of those websites up), to see what is going on with KROS.  We all plan it at work, well the new break schedule is messing it up a little (we lost some free time from the man), so the website might pick up.  But anyway you get the point, I just don't want anybody to think we are not around, not doing investigations and collecting evidence.  I do come and check this website, the Forums, the MySpace page daily.  So if you want to join, contribute or offer anything in anyway, just email me or post in the Forums or in the MySpace page.

With that out of the way, what are we up to you.  Well we miss the boat on Waverly, all private trips sold out before we could schedule one.  I did call the same time as I have every year, so you got me, I figured it's popularity would be waning.  I did stop by Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, too bad private hunts are very expensive and it is 5 hours away.  Meadows and I just did an investigation at Soule's Chapel that was really impressive, I will do the report soon and post the 5 EVPs we got.  The place was very active that night especially after the dead one we had last year.  We are probably going to try to schedule Soule's Chapel again, Jailer's Inn (last year was awesome), Talbott Tavern, Bobby Mackeys and maybe even Mansfield Reformatory for anyone to join up with us.  I got several new pieces of equipment this year including a EM Pump and a PX.  The EM Pump is featured on Ghost Adventures and all it does is basically pump EMF.  The theory is ghost can use the energy and are attracted to it, so far so good, does go through the batteries, though.  The PX is a device ghost supposedly can manipulate and use it to speak words, an improved Ovilus.  The device, sort of has been used on Ghost Adventures, no glasses to wear, no screen or nothing like that, but made by the same guy on the same setup.   So far it hasn't said .... well I haven't hear anything from it, but the Shack Hack Ghost Box gets annoying quick.  Also I got more camcorders coming, you can never have too many.  So stay tuned for the Soule's Report, the EVPs and some more great links.

June 10th, 2009 - Picked up, added and ordered several pieces of equipment for KROS to use since the last post.  Meadows and I, have recently somehow acquired 3 more camcorders, old ones but they'll still probably work.  I tested out my 1 and it does in fact have Super No Lux, basically JVC's name for Niteshot.  Meadows has a Sony and a JVC, not sure on the Niteshot, yet, I hope they have it, kind of useless without it.  My girlfriend, Teri, got me a Laptop, Yay!, this should help us with some investigations, I do have a lot of plans for it.  For one, I ordered a 4 camera DVR USB adapter.  Hopefully, you can hook up 4 cameras to it and watch and record them, Brady Bunch style, a screen in each 4 corners from a computer, like a laptop, it's advertised to do so anyway.  I hope this works like promised, especially since we have a plethora of camcorders now to hook to it.  Plus it has 1 audio input.  Also a laptop would be good to go back to the investigation site with and let the people know what kind of evidence you got, mobility rules.  

Last not least, we have a Shack Hack Ghost Box to use.  Some people might be saying A What?!  The name makes it sounds way cooler than it looks.  But it is basically a radio that continuously scans frequencies to supposedly pick up spirit voices.  Does it work?  Don't really know yet.  I have heard and read some really convincing stories and I have seen some cool YouTube videos using it.  It is based on the Frank's Box, Telephone of the Dead theory, although this version will pickup what the radio stations have on them, like music for one thing, since it is scanning radio signals.  So far, Dylan, my son, couldn't wait to use it, since I bought the radio from Radio Shack, hence the Shack part in the name and hacked it, that is where Hack comes from in the name and turned it on.  The can I ask the first question, can I use it first questions were killing me.  So I got it ready and turned it on and said "Go ahead, ask away".  He responded with a, "Is there anybody here with us right now?"  Immediately he got a "Yes" out of the thing.  His eyes got real big, he started shaking his arms and left the room in hurry saying, "That thing is creeping me out."  He ended up coming back and we didn't really get anything else out of it, some things and some answers to questions we asked, but not what I would call a conversation with a spirit or lost soul or anything.  But I can't wait to take it to places like Waverly Hills, should be a lot of fun.  This is not something I would take to a private investigation, unless they insisted, or is it something I would call hard cold evidence, but like I said, should be a lot of fun.  If this interests you, do a search on a Shack Hack Ghost Box.  Here is a good link to a pretty good article on this Ghost Box.  The guys here are definitely convinced it works. http://angelsghosts.com/ghost_box

 June 4th, 2009 - Got the MySpace button made on the left and got a new Ghost Adventures Crew pic and link made on the right.  The reason I made up the Ghost Adventures Crew pic/link is because their season premiere is this Friday Night at 9pm on The Travel Channel.  This is their second season and I thoroughly enjoyed their first season, can't wait for this one.  Their investigating techniques differ from TAPS, GHI or Paranormal State, but are nonetheless very enjoyable to watch, they are actually more in common with what KROS does at places like Waverly Hills, other than say the over provoking.  I urge you to watch them this Friday and every Friday Night.  But anyway I am going to try reinstall the software for the video and try to get that Waverly Video on here.  Also we are going to book a night at the Jailer's Inn in Bardstown, the dates have been narrowed down to June 9th Tuesday, June 23rd Tuesday, July 16th Thursday, July 21st Tuesday and July 30th Thursday.  So waiting on The Team to decide which night is best.  We could go on a weekend night, but it would be best to book every room on a weekend night, so if we can do that, then I am up for it.  We might even go 2 different nights.

June 1st, 2009 - Just now got to where I can get into the website again. It was a painstaking long process that now is over.  So what does that mean...it means we are back!!  Lil Miss Spookiness has got us a new MySpace page, that rocks, so check it out here http://www.myspace.com/k_r_o_s.  The pics that was on the front page have been moved to The Team section.  Waverly Hills is now scheduled for August 26th and more trips will follow.  I will continue to add more to the website soon.  I got to get a movie off the 8mm from Waverly Hills to add here, after I get that program re- installed, but for now its late and its later for now.
